RÖKO Lunch Meeting

Heading to the RÖKO? Join us for the SPP Lunch Meeting.
Meet your SPP colleagues as well as young researchers from the Deutsche Röntgengesellschaft (DRG) for an informal lunch on 14^th May 2026, 12:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the RÖKO, directly in the Leipzig Messe.

This is a great opportunity to take a break, enjoy some good food, and connect with fellow researchers. Whether you want to exchange ideas, catch up with colleagues, or meet new faces, we’d be glad to see you there.

Summer School for Early Career Researchers

Join us on 2^nd–3^rd June 2026 at the Caritas Tagungszentrum in Freiburg for the SPP Summer School 2026 focused on “Next Level Career Development.”

Tailored for early career researchers, the two-day programme offers practical sessions on strategic career planning, networking, personal positioning, improving application materials, and interview & negotiation skills. AI-assisted tools will be integrated throughout to provide fresh perspectives and new opportunities.
Participation is completely free for SPP members.

Workshop: AI for Researchers

On 14^th April 2026, our online workshop gave SPP members hands-on experience in using AI effectively and responsibly in research. Participants explored practical strategies to improve writing, create clear visuals, strengthen grant applications, and extract reliable information—while keeping ethical and legal considerations in mind. The session sparked lively discussions and inspired many new ideas for integrating AI into everyday research.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

SPP Final Meeting 2026 – Save the Date

Please mark your calendars: the SPP Final Meeting will take place on 20^th–21^st October 2026 in Berlin. We will once again meet at the Landesvertretung Baden-Württemberg in Berlin and follow a lunch-to-lunch format across the two days.

The meeting will bring together all SPP members and will be attended by representatives of the DFG. Please note that, due to the differing project timelines, this Final Meeting will not replace the requirement for individual final reports. Further details on reporting procedures will be shared in due course.

We encourage you to reserve the dates early – more information will follow soon.
