Scrutinizing Inner Saboteurs - Online Workshop for Female Researchers & Scientists |
|
Ever feel like you’re standing in your own way - despite knowing exactly what to do? You’re not alone…
In this interactive workshop for female researchers & scientists, we’ll take a closer look at “self-sabotage” and the inner resistance that can quietly undermine our goals, decisions, and everyday actions. Together, we’ll explore where these patterns come from, what purpose they may (surprisingly) serve, and how one may (better) recognize the moments when they show up.
Through a mix of input, reflection, discussion, and hands-on exercises, you’ll gain practical tools to identify your personal triggers and develop strategies to navigate them more effectively.
Expect a supportive, open atmosphere with space for exchange, self-discovery, and real insights you can take back into your academic and professional life.
Come curious… and leave with (more) clarity, strategies, and a renewed sense of agency.

IN’Com – Awareness-Raising Workshops for an Inclusive Community |
|
From April 2026, the ‘Studying with a Disability’ advisory service at the Centre for Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Beloning at Humboldt Universität zu Berlin will continue the IN’Com workshop series, focusing on the theme of inclusion and accessibility. This year’s focus is on neurodiversity. The series offers practical insights, expert input and a space for discussion: How can we ensure a sensitive and respectful approach? What are the dos and don’ts when interacting with others – particularly when engaging with people with neurodivergent profiles? Topics include neurodiversity, comorbidities, communication and compensating for disadvantages.

The series is led by Katrin Rettel (Zentrum Chancengerechtigkeit, HU Berlin) and moderated by Stefanie Trzecinski (KOPF, HAND + FUSS gGmbH). It is aimed at teaching staff and other employees of Humboldt-Universität. Participation is free of charge.

Empowerment for Women: Trust in Your Own Strengths |
|
In everyday (work) life we often use skills automatically, without being aware of it. People often do not remember they learned these competencies or do not assess their skills – and therefore it is difficult for them to denominate them or describe their potential. In a job (or for your time as a student) self-awareness and knowledge of one's own strengths are necessary in order to:
- shape your profile
- learn, what kind of work environment might be beneficial for you
- develop strategies for future plans
- negotiate conditions (for jobs etc)
In the joint workshop and in the individual preparation phase, we use biographical exercises, specific ability tools, a personality tool and a cooperative negotiation model. There will be room for exchange and feedback.

Leadership in Academia - Reflecting Roles, Shaping Skills, and Facing Challenges |
|
Leadership is always a complex and challenging issue – but in academia, you have to face the fact that on the one hand, the primary task of gaining new knowledge is a thoroughly non-hierarchical process, whereas on the other hand, the university as an organisation entails a hierarchical structure. Hence, academic leadership has to consider both aspects. Furthermore, in an academic career, leadership skills become more and more important besides scientific excellence – but are never ‘taught’.
Therefore, the workshop offers an opportunity to enhance and deepen your leadership skills. Starting point is the reflection on a pre-condition for successful leadership: analysing your role and clarifying your self-conception as a leader. This is the fundament for further subjects that can support you to expand your leadership repertoire – always with the focus on leadership in academia.

DiVe - Diversity in Education |
|
A digital self-learning course to promote more inclusive teaching at Charité Berlin.
Course content
The course will cover the following topics:
- Basics of diversity, discrimination, intersectionality, and racism
- Racism in the health care - problem areas and effects
- Privileges and allyship - reflecting on own positions and acting in solidarity
- Practical recommendations for less discriminatory and more diversity-sensitive teaching
Didactical approach
The course combines scientific principles with practical elements. In addition to theoretical input, current studies and statistics, it contains interviews with experts, case studies, interactive elements as well as reflection exercises and quizzes. Additional materials and information on contact points are also available.
Target group
The course is aimed at teachers in health professions and can be used nationwide and across disciplines.
Project partners
DivE is a sub-project within the framework of Empowerment for Diversity and is part of the Steering Committee Equality, Diversity, Inclusion. It is being implemented in close cooperation with the Dieter Scheffner Center (DSFZ) for Medical Education and Educational Research. The VITA Online Academy and the Charité's eLearning team are providing support with the technical implementation and integration. |
